UCONN AGREES TO 10-YR DEAL W/NIKE

The Univ. of Connecticut's Board of Trustees yesterday approved a
10-year, $46M deal with Nike to become the sole apparel, footwear and equipment provider for the school. The deal is believed to be one of the biggest in the country, and UConn AD Jeff Hathaway said that Nike will provide $31M in goods and "pay the balance ... in cash."
